About

Rev. Marcos Collado is the Director of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy Services at Riley Children’s at Indiana University Health. He is also a Certified Educator with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and supervises the clinical training of chaplain interns, residents, and fellows. He completed clinical ethics training through the Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics and serves in the Riley Pediatric Ethics committee where he facilitates unit-based conversations to reduce moral distress among clinicians.

Marcos completed a chaplaincy residency at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis in 2008, followed by a second residency at IU Health in 2009, specializing in trauma and pediatric chaplaincy. He was recognized with the Len Cedarleaf Award and published a theological education paper in Reflective Practice: Formation and Supervision in Ministry. At the national level, Marcos served on the board reviewing ACPE certification standards and developing core curriculum for future clinical pastoral educators.  

Marcos earned a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in 2008. In 2024, Marcos began serving on the CTS Trustee Board. He is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has also served in children and youth ministry at various Latine congregations in Indianapolis.
